This is what our tutorial will lead to. Please note that this is quite easy, so we will not give instructions for all the steps: the illustrations are enough.
Also, if you want to have a rendering really similar to ours, we advise you to use a thick black marker. On that note, let's start without further delay with the first step.
1. Eye Contour
To form Toothless's eyes, nothing could be simpler. Simply draw two oval circles on each side, with a line extending slightly beyond them as shown in the illustration.
2. Pupil Shape
Follow the illustration.
3. Detail of the Pupils
Follow the illustration then color the inside of the pupils in black as shown below:
4. Head shape
Toothless's head has a slightly triangular shape. This should be visible in your drawing.
5. Ears
Follow the illustration.
6. Head hair
Follow the illustration.
7. Head details
Follow the illustration. Now you've finished drawing Toothless's head, let's move on to the body!
8. Neck
Follow the illustration.
9. Body
Follow the first illustration then complete with the following ones.
10. Paws and Claws
To draw Toothless's legs/claws, follow the illustrations in order.
Use the same process for the back claws as the front ones.
Congratulations, Toothless's legs are finished! Let's move on to the more juicy part, the wings.
11. The wings
Perfect! Now that Toothless's wings are finished, you can calmly move on to coloring (or leave it like that). Know that you can totally be creative and imagine different colors for Toothless than the original ones, have fun!
For an even more realistic look, you can bring Toothless to life by drawing him using the 3D Drawing Creation Pen !
